Collection: The 2010s

The 2010s are the decade of the children now in school and of the weddings reaching their first real anniversaries. A child born in 2016 turns ten in 2026; a couple married in 2011 reaches fifteen years, a couple married in 2016 ten.

It was a remarkable run for wine. 2010 was great almost everywhere, from Bordeaux to Barolo. 2015 belonged to Burgundy and the northern Rhône, 2016 to Bordeaux, Piedmont and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and 2019 gave balance at a fair price. In between, 2013 was hard in Bordeaux and superb in Piedmont, 2014 made outstanding white Burgundy, and 2017 lost half its crop to frost and still charmed. Champagne had 2012 and 2008's younger sibling, 2013, for the patient.

These wines are young. Most are sound and many are still improving, so a bottle from the 2010s can be opened at the party or kept for the twenty-first. We check every bottle by hand rather than assume. Delivery in 7 to 10 working days, tracked.
