This page explains which cookies and similar technologies anno.wine uses, what they are for and how you can change your choice. It completes our Privacy policy.

Who is responsible

Your choice

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Union, a banner asks for your choice on your first visit:

  • Accept: we also use analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Decline: only the strictly necessary cookies are used. Nothing else is stored on your device and no data is sent to advertising partners.
  • Manage preferences: you choose category by category.

Until you choose, only the strictly necessary cookies are used. We remember your choice for up to 12 months, so the banner does not come back at every visit. You can change it at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

Strictly necessary cookies (always active)

They make the store work: cart, language, currency, security and checkout. They are set by Shopify, the platform that hosts our store, and do not need your consent.

  • _shopify_essential: session, checkout, security and your cookie choice (1 year)
  • cart: keeps the bottles in your cart (2 weeks)
  • cart_currency: currency of your cart (2 weeks)
  • localization: your country and language (1 year)
  • discount_code: keeps a discount code until checkout (session)
  • shopify_pay, login_with_shop_finalize, __Host-Http-shop_binding: sign-in with Shop and Shop Pay at checkout (from 5 minutes to 1 year)
  • _shop_app_essential: on shop.app (Shopify), needed for “Sign in with Shop” (1 year)

To deliver and protect the site, Shopify also receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages loaded and any errors.

Analytics cookies (only if you accept)

  • _shopify_analytics: Shopify, statistics on how the store is used (1 year)

Advertising cookies (only if you accept)

  • _shopify_marketing: Shopify, marketing data for the store and checkout (1 year)
  • _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gs: Google Ads and Google Merchant Center, measure which ads lead to visits and purchases (90 days)
  • IDE, test_cookie, ar_debug: on Google domains, ad measurement and security (from 15 minutes to 13 months)

Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process this data under their own privacy policy. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details on Google's cookies: business.safety.google/adscookies.

Other services that see your IP address

  • Fonts. The fonts of anno.wine are stored on our own site. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service.
  • Spam protection on forms. When you use the contact form or another protected form, Shopify uses hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc., USA) to tell people from automated programs. At that moment hCaptcha receives your IP address and technical data about your browser. We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the site from spam and abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).   • Chat. The chat window is provided by Shopify. The messages you write are stored by Shopify on our behalf.
  • WhatsApp, App Store and Google Play. These are plain links. Nothing is loaded from WhatsApp, Apple or Google until you click them; after the click, their own privacy policies apply.
  • Payment. At checkout, the payment provider you choose (for example PayPal) may use its own cookies to complete the payment securely. Its own privacy policy applies.

Deleting cookies from your browser

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, the cart and checkout may stop working.

If we add or remove cookies or services, we update this page and the date at the top.
