Vintage 1965
All the bottles from 1965The first spacewalk, the worst harvest
Honestly, one of the worst years in post-war Europe. Rain from August onwards brought rot across France: Bordeaux, Burgundy and Sauternes all failed, no Champagne house declared a vintage and neither did any Port shipper. There is no quietly brilliant region hiding in 1965 - the wine simply was not made.
Overall: good
Everything we check on a bottle, explained
Real people, not a chatbot
The people who answer are the same people who check and pack the bottles. Ask for photographs, a condition report or advice on a year and you get a straight answer from the ANNO team, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 CET.
Sold as a collectible: with a bottle this old we cannot guarantee it is still drinkable.
