Vintage 1942
All the bottles from 1942Casablanca, and a real Port year
A small crop of surprisingly respectable quality in Bordeaux, firm enough that the best bottles can still show a faded elegance, though nobody would call them great. Burgundy was middling. The year's real claim is the Douro: 1942 was declared by several of the leading Port houses and shipped once the war allowed.
Overall: In Original Wooden Case. Label: perfect.
Everything we check on a bottle, explained
Real people, not a chatbot
The people who answer are the same people who check and pack the bottles. Ask for photographs, a condition report or advice on a year and you get a straight answer from the ANNO team, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 CET.
Sold as a collectible: with a bottle this old we cannot guarantee it is still drinkable.
