Collection: The 2020s

The 2020s are the decade of the youngest children. A child born in 2020, the year of the lockdowns, turns six in 2026; one born in 2022 turns four. These are bottles bought to be kept, more often than bottles bought to be opened.

2020 was very good, strongest on the Right Bank of Bordeaux and in white Burgundy. 2021 was cool and classic, with an excellent Barolo. 2022 was the surprise of the decade so far: a summer of heat and drought that produced outstanding, balanced Bordeaux and excellent Burgundy. 2023 was a big, uneven harvest, 2024 a small and difficult one, and 2025 is still in barrel with promising early reports.

Because the wines are so young, many of the serious ones from the later years have not yet been released, and what is in bottle is drinking on its fruit. We check every bottle by hand. Delivery in 7 to 10 working days, tracked.
