A warm year with cool nights that kept freshness. Bordeaux 2019 is excellent and balanced, and was released at prices well below the neighbouring vintages. Burgundy 2019 is outstanding, concentrated in red and rich in white. The Rhône is excellent, Barolo 2019 classic and very fine, Tuscany very good, Champagne very good, Germany superb.

A seventh birthday and one of the best-value great years: Bordeaux 2019 offers top quality at sensible prices, and Barolo 2019 will keep for decades. Burgundy 2019 is the connoisseur's choice and priced like it. Any of them will be better still at eighteen.
